Gaeguri, Kakerlake, Black Magie und San Frantschüssco is an audiovisual performance using four analog film projectors.

The work began as a film before evolving into a live performance. It is a tribute to the joy and hatred I associate with different landscapes and events. Fragments of Super 8 footage that I have filmed over the past year are projected simultaneously by three projectors. The projectors run at different projection speeds, creating distinct temporal rhythms as well as different mechanical noises.

The sound is performed live using the collected mechanical noise of all four analog projectors. Their motors, vibrations, and varying speeds become the material for a live sonic composition that accompanies the projected images.

I am still collecting images. The work is not yet finished.
