CHANMIN KIM is based in Seoul, South Korea and Cologne, Germany.

Chanmin Kim works primarily with film and sound, tracing the sensory residues that emerge from specific experiences or events. Rather than reproducing what has been experienced, he reconstructs events through the distortions of memory and a process of repeated reflection. In this process, narrative does not follow a linear structure; instead, it is reassembled into a nonlinear and non-narrative form, allowing the event to be experienced anew within the sensations of the present moment.
